Jennifer's aesthetic spans styles and eras - blending elements into eclectic, elegant and often funky interiors - guided by a curious approach to color, pattern, texture, light and space.
Each project is a collaboration that begins with a one-on-one with Jennifer to explore your aesthetic sensibilities, clarify vision, and define functional requirements.
Jennifer steers the process—creating whole home color stories that specify everything from detailed structural changes and electrical schedules to furniture and finishes.
Our team of design/build professionals forefront restoration or refurbishing whenever possible, and honor historic details in our consideration of each project's architectural integrity with only careful and informed structural intervention.
JLS Interiors offers access to a vast network of local artisans, woodworkings, and craftspeople. Any imaginable customization becomes possible.

The Founder
Jennifer Salvemini is a lifelong student of anthropology and philosophy. Her academic endeavors evolved into a passion for aesthetic expression in all areas of culture - from architecture to mythology, textiles to cuisine. Jenn has an appreciation for meaningful sensory experiences, and finds joy in creating these experiences for others.
Before relocating to the Hudson Valley from NYC almost 10 years ago, Jenn’s background was in fashion and hospitality where she mastered project management, event planning and design, systems building and logistics in high-paced and varied environments.
In addition to JLS Interiors, Jennifer also serves as:

Creative Director for Studio Hinterland, a Catskills-based collective of female identifying artists, makers, designers, and growers.
